I met some of my Perth blogger sisters and we had fun.
Saturday, when Perth winter felt like summer, I attended my first blogging event hosted by Bloggers United AU. It's the second event ever held in Australia so I am glad I bought me some last minute ticket.

Bloggers United: Connecting Bloggers, Vloggers and Social Media Gurus.

The event was organised by the founders with the help of our amazing Perth Reps, Sophie, Angie and Sam. The lovely Jasmine, one of the co-founders, even flew in to join the fun.

There were some brand ambassadors who came bearing gifts! A lot of oohhhs and ahhhhs were spoken as we all entered the room. It literally felt like Christmas / Birthday with all the goodie bags we took home. I had so many feels.

Here's some photos of the day.
Note: I brought in my camera but put the wrong lens in so some photos are just meh but if you visit the #bloggersunitedau feed on Instragram then the evidence of all the happenings were documented.

After a few more snaps my battery died. Boooooooo! You'd think I would have charged my battery right? You'd think. Lessons learned though. First, lens. Second, Battery.

There are so many lovely ladies I met and they deserve a shout-out but as easy as it seems, I didn't get to chat to every single one of them. However, I met, Ange from Diary of Ange, whom I've been online friends with since 2007. I remember us going to a film together with another friend. Geez, that's like a million moons ago.

All in all, it was such a good day. The event was great. The Perth reps did an amazing job. The weather was a.m.a.z.i.n.g!! I met vloggers and bloggers and our cray was surely up another level! We laughed, discussed makeup and our kids, took lots of photos, photobombed a Snapchat and Periscope and we Instagrammed like we never did before...the works!

It was an eventful weekend. I am very grateful for the experience and for the first time in what feels like forever, I was reminded of why I started blogging anyway. Do I take it to another level? Not yet. It still remains a hobby I enjoy doing, my own artistic outlet and perhaps will stay that way for a little while.

Hope you had an amazing weekend too! xxx

I'll speak to you soon!

  1. Sounds like a great weekend. I'm always so jealous of people who get to go to blogging events like this :)
