Moving on to my next favourite matte lipsticks, Ladies and Gents I present to you - Revlon Matte Balms in Elusive (pink) and Sultry (plum-red-brown). These shades are Autumn appropriate in my opinion and subtle enough for everyday use.
Revlon Matte Balms are heaven sent and much more loved than its glossy and stain sisters.
1) It's creamy-matte
2) Moisturising on the lips
3) Hella pigmented (most of the shades, not all)
4) The peppermint scent is very refreshing from the usual sweet/flowery smell of most lipsticks
5) Twist-tube packaging is amazing. Who wants to sharpen their lipsticks anyway?
Elusive is a very fun pink. It has a lot of blue to it and it seriously transforms my whole makeup. My complexion looks cooler and I feel like my inner-Nicki Minaj is always awakened by this shade. The matte finish makes it less out there, suitable for a work day makeup.
Sultry on the other hand is sexy and sophisticated. It's a wearable version of a plum-red (aubergine-esque) kind of dark shade lipstick. This has been a favourite for years and always comes out during the start of Autumn.
When I look back at photos of me in highschool and my uni days (aka the 90s), I have worn similar shades all through out so the nostalgia is always there when this is on my lips.
There you go, another installation of my Top Matte lipsticks. I shall see you tomorrow xx
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
