13 November 2014

Let's pause for a bit as we look at this photo. This was taken 3 years ago and before I had ze baby.
This is one of my favourite trips I had as it was just a weekend of beach, sand and sun.

So on to the post, my holiday is coming up soon (real soon).  We're going on a cruise!! (weeeeeee) I've been trying to get started with packing and just be organised. I thought why not start with the hardest one - Makeup!

Here's what I think I am taking with me. Ok go on roll your eyes, I know it looks a lot. It's really (really) hard to pack makeup if you're a makeup junkie like me.

I started really well and just picked 1 foundation and 1 BB cream and the choices were surprisingly easy. Then I thought for sure it's going to be the Naked Palette. This is one of my favourite palettes to take with me on holidays. It has your neutrals and your smokey shades. And speaking of smokey shades, I thought Silver and shimmery brown go together and before you know it I was picking 4 blushes and 5 lipsticks. Ok make that 6! I lost track.

Face Stuff - these are tried and tested in humidity and heat. I would hate for my foundation to slide off my face when the sweating starts. #Firstworldproblems

Eyes Stuff - Definitely can't go wrong with the Naked palette. I sneakily added Bobbi Brown Pewter (lovely silver) and MAC Patina for some Victoria Beckham inspired makeup that I think I would do on one of the formal nights

More Eyes Stuff - my favourite eyebrow kit, Urban Decay 24/7 liners (favourite of all time), sneaky L'Oreal Infallible liner and L'Oreal Telescopic.

Clearly, who needs a lot of blushes on a holiday? I guess I need to refine the choices again. I need pink and coral/peach and a nice highlighter. I think?

Lip Stuff - I had a plan and that was to have nude (pinks), Red and some fun summer matte balm. I think I did well with these choices.

And that's it!

If you made it up to this part of the post then Thank you! I already changed my mind on the blushes and now I plan to take NARS Deep Throat with me and drop the Savvy Blushes. I also think I need to think again about the lipsticks and possibly bring MAC Russian Red instead.

Don't be surprised if you see another What's in my Bag: Travel Edit post in the coming days. It's bound to happen knowing me. #beautyjunkieandherproblems

Hope you're not as indecisive I as am when it comes to makeup packing.

I'll speak to you soon xx

  1. Can't wait to see the final edit. I just got myself the UD Naked 2 and some of the 24/7 liners. Love them all.
